Seit Version 2.3.0 speichert BOM das History.log, die Settings.ini und die Artikel.csv im Verzeichnis "Anwendungsdaten" des aktuelle Benutzerprofils. Also wenn der Benutzer "Hans" heißt und eine deutsch Windows XP Standardinstallation benutzt, dann lautet das Verzeichnis:

C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Hans\Anwendungsdaten\BOM


Unter Windows Vista oder Windows 7 ist der Pfad nochmal anders, am Einfachsten gibt man unter Start / Ausführen folgendes ein:

%APPDATA%\BOM


Wenn BOM von vorhergehenden Installationen eine schreibbare Settings.ini im BOM-Programmverzeichnis findet, dann wird weiterhin dort gespeichert:

C:\Programme\Biet-O-Matic


Das BOM-Programmverzeichnis ist das Verzeichnis, aus dem die Biet-O-Matic.exe gestartet wurde. Wenn man also z.B. den gesamten Inhalt des BOM-Verzeichnisses auf einen USB-Stick kopiert (zzgl. eine Settings.ini), so legt BOM die Daten dort ab und man kann alles mitnehmen.

Unter Windows Vista / Windows 7 kann es passieren, dass BOM direkt nach einem Update andere Artikel anzeigt und andere Einstellungen hat als vor dem Update.

Dann keine Panik bekommen, es genügt BOM einfach zu beenden und nochmal neu aufzumachen, dann sollte wieder alles beim Alten sein.
