In Gruppen werden normalerweise gleichartige Artikel zusammengefaszt. Ein Regenschirm und ein Mantel gehören nicht in eine Gruppe, auch wenn man sie beide gut bei schlechtem Wetter gebrauchen kann (also alle Mäntel in eine Gruppe, alle Regenschirme in eine weitere Gruppe).
Naturally you should group similar items together. For example you would not stick umbrellas and coats together in the same group although both protect you from the rain! You would select a lot of umbrellas to be one group and a lot of coats to be a separate group.
Schauen wir uns am besten mal ein paar Beispiele zum Gruppen-Feature an. Der als 'Code' gekennzeichnete Text steht dabei für den Text in der Gruppenspalte einiger Artikel.
Ok, lets look at some examples concerning the group function. The identifying text (the left part of the 'group' lines) should be the same in the group column for all similar items.
... bedeutet, dasz man eine Gruppe "a" definiert, wovon "1" Stück ersteigert werden soll. Wurde 1 Artikel ersteigert, werden alle weiteren Gebote dieser Gruppe abgebrochen.
... means that you define a group named "a" and you wish to bid on all items of this group until you "win" 1 item. After that all other bids of this group are canceled.
... bedeutet, dasz man eine Gruppe "5" definiert, wovon "1" Stück ersteigert werden soll.
... means that you define a group of items named "5" and you wish to "win" only 1 of them.
... bedeutet, dasz man eine Gruppe "5" definiert, die Stückzahl ist nicht angegeben worden -> der Standard = 1 Stück soll ersteigert werden.
... means that you define a group of items named "5". Since there is no number specified BOM would set the number to the default of 1 item, which should be won.
... bedeutet, dasz man eine Gruppe "5,2" definiert. Bitte daran denken, dasz das Komma ',' hier kein Trennzeichen ist - das einzige gültige Trennzeichen ist das Semikolon ';'! Die Stückzahl ist nicht angegeben, d.h. BOM würde auf 1 Artikel bieten.
... means that you define a group named "5,2". Please remember that the comma ',' is not taken as a delimiter here! The only valid delimiter ist the semicolon ';' ! Since there is no number specified BOM would bid by default until 1 item is won.
... bedeutet, dasz man eine Gruppe "Handy" definiert, wovon 2 Stück ersteigert werden sollen.
... means that you define a group named "Handy" and you want to "win" up to 2 items of this group.
Natürlich müssen alle Gruppenfelder von Artikeln einer Gruppe übereinstimmen!
The bid group field text of all items which belong to the same group must be identical!

BOM bietet auf eine verketteten Artikel oder Bietgruppe, wenn min. ein (1) Artikel aus der übergeordneten Hauptgruppe ersteigert bzw. nicht ersteigert wurde. Der verkettete Artikel bzw. die verkettete Gruppe muss durch ein vorangestelltes Plus- "+" bzw. Minus-Zeichen "-" gekennzeichnet werden.
BOM bids on a linked article or bid group, if at least one (1) article of the primary master group was won resp. not won. The linked article or group must be indicated by prefixing with a plus "+" resp. minus sign "-".

BOM ersteigert somit den jeweils zum Handy passenden Akku nur dann, wenn das Handy vorher erfolgreich ersteigert wurde.
BOM buys in consequence the appropriate battery of the mobile phone only then, if the concerning mobile phone was bought successfully before.

BOM ersteigert somit das alternative Handy nur dann, wenn das Handy vorher nicht erfolgreich ersteigert wurde.
BOM buys in consequence the alternative mobile phone only then, if the initial mobile phone was not bought successfully before.
Natürlich geht das auch mit Bietgruppen:

BOM versucht also, ein (1) Handy von den Verkäufern A, B oder C zu ersteigern und dann und nur dann zwei (2) Akkus von den Verkäufern D, E, F oder G.
So BOM tries to buy one (1) mobile phone from seller A, B or C and if and only if to get two (2) batterys from seller D, E, F or G.
Das Gruppenfeld muss nicht ausgefüllt werden, normalerweise bleibt das Gruppenfeld leer. Die Gruppen-Funktion ist eine zusätzliche Option, welche man auch nur dann benutzen sollte, wenn man die Gruppenfunktionalität verstanden hat. Alles andere kann zum versehentlichen mehrfachen Ersteigern von Artikeln führen.
You are not required to fill the group field, in most cases you would leave it blank. You should be careful in using the group feature - if you dont fully understand whats up with it you rather should leave the field blank otherwise you risk winning items you don't want.
